About the product
Painting with watercolors can feel infinitely satisfying and effortless, and we wanted to make it real for digital art. All their peculiar features — like gradients, translucency, blooms, and fluid interactions between pigments and water — should have been captured as realistically as possible and brought to the artboard. It was quite a provocative task, but we liked the difficulties. We've teamed up with talented Kristina Vorotnikova to explore the alchemy of watercolor craftsmanship and make an extensive toolkit for those who prefer digital canvas to cotton paper.
Inspiration followed us across Pinterest, DeviantArt, and Instagram, so we aimed to assemble a vast array of brushes to meet the needs of artists working with different techniques. The Watercolor Journeys collection will suit minimalist and abstract art, botanical and floral watercolors, modern portraits, atmospheric landscapes, quick sketches, mixed media, typography, illustrations, and industrial art. It features 30 strokes and 20 stamps, mimicking all possible watercolor taps, from rigger brush's thin lines to paint splashes.
Art of the Watercolor Journeys
The versatility of strokes isn't the main advantage of the Watercolor Journeys, though. They behave as fluidly as regular watercolors do. This means they layer naturally upon one another, with lower layers subtly showing through — the control over transparency and blending is fascinating. When scaled or applied to large areas, the brushes use high-resolution textures to maintain realistic details. And yes, they allow soft, feathered, or uneven edges as pigments seep into paper fibers. Just as if you dip a brush into water and lay a stroke over the rough surface.

More Details
-
Watercolor brushes replicate the look and feel of traditional watercolor painting. They mimic the texture, transparency, and fluidity of watercolors, allowing artists to create realistic washes, gradients, and textures in digital art programs like Procreate, Photoshop, or Illustrator.
-
They’re ideal for creating artwork that requires soft textures, natural gradients, and an organic aesthetic. E.g., portraits, botanical illustrations, landscapes, abstract art, and lettering. They're also used for creating backgrounds, branding elements, and decorative illustrations with a handmade look.
-
Watercolor drawing is characterized by its soft, fluid textures, transparency, and ability to layer colors seamlessly. Colors merge naturally to create smooth transitions, and the depth is built with transparent layers of pigment.
