Clip Studio Craftsman Linocut Brushes
Knives out, it's linocut time. Instead of carving into wood, we've got plenty of linoleum and 12 tactile linocut brushes. Maybe it's not as satisfying as rolling ink over streaked surfaces and transferring the image — but the artistic impact goes far beyond old-school physical printmaking.

“Printmaking has never been my strong suit, so I took it as a challenge. How could I create brushes that feel even more tangible than their physical predecessors? It took thousands of folk art pieces and early 20th-century book illustrations to grasp the style, tame it, and do the job: 12 strokes that feel carefully pressed through a dense, ink-soaked surface. Lol, even now, it feels pretty much like manual labor — even if they’re all neatly caged inside a design app.”
Our artistic experiments have gone wild as we were exploring the infinite edges of analog printmaking. This means this pack won't house anything soft and subtle 'cause it's exactly the opposite. The 12 linocut brushes cut through the canvas like they've got somewhere to be. They're all texture, no fluff — so the strokes look like they were carved out with a pocket knife and inked generously afterward. You can think of them as the punk band of your brush collection, so raw and irregular.
As you are taking a closer look, you'll see every featured brush is the roughness itself — yet with so much detail, it feels rather scanned than hand-drawn in the digital medium. The strokes range from steady, ink-loaded lines to jagged, directional slashes and dot-based repeats. Some mimic dry, scratched engraving with uneven edges and skip marks, while others lean into the rich, saturated texture of freshly inked print blocks. There's a variety of weight, pattern, and pressure responses to go even more physical while doing creative work in a drawing app.
The brushes bring the carved-by-lantern-light energy to nature scenes, type treatments, or bookish folk art compositions. They're made for scratching stories into digital paper — use them to rough up clean shapes, add movement to illustrations, or break free from anything too polished. They got nothing sterile, and neither will the art — just hand-cut grit, unpredictable texture, and the imperfection that makes things feel alive.
